Both you and your nice dog can get into not-so-nice trouble when he's not properly confined.  If your pet causes an accident by darting into traffic, digging up your neighbor's  prize petunias, or chasing pedestrians, joggers or cyclists, you could be cited into court for violation of the animal control laws and a judge would decide how much in penalties you'll have to pay.  In addition, a victim could sue you in civil court for damages.

bullet Be a RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER and relieve your neighbor from the unpleasant task of reporting your violation to the proper authorities which might result in your animal being impounded and/or a court appearance and fine.

If you have trouble controlling your animal or want some helpful hints, contact your Animal Services Department at 721-3730.
